A SAFFRON Walden-based hearing loss charity is looking for a new chairman.

Yvonne Morton has been chairman of Hearing Help Uttlesford, which is based in Rylstone Way, since 2004 and has to stand down at the charity's annual general meeting in May after completing the maximum five year term.

Ms Morton said: "The role is not onerous. There are between four and six committee meetings every year and two member meetings, one being the AGM every May and an autumn meeting in October."

If anyone thinks this could be for them, they can call Ms Morton a ring for a no obligation chat about what is involved on 01799 525398.

Hearing Help Uttlesford is also looking for people to train as specialist volunteers to service people's hearing aids, especially in the Saffron Walden area. For more information call the above number.
