HIPPIES, pirates and an assortment of farmyard animals littered the countryside as pupils in fancy dress took part in a sponsored walk which has so far raised more than 5,000.
The money will be going towards renovating the school hall at Linton Village College – which is also used by the community as a theatre, concert hall and the venue for the popular farmers’ market.
Pupils completed the walk after following a 10km circuit via Hildersham, the Roman Road and Rivey Hill.
Among the other costumes on parade were princesses and film characters – all of which made for a colourful sight on a grey autumn morning.
