Horse freed after becoming trapped in a ditch in Uttlesford

FIREFIGHTERS helped free a horse after it got trapped in a ditch.

Crews from Wethersfield, Great Baddow and South Woodham were called to the B1051 in Great Sampford at about 1.20pm today (Thursday).

The horse was freed by 3.30pm using a crane belonging to the large animal rescue unit.
