The December meeting was held on December 5 at the Bowls Club in Abbey Lane. The AGM was held in the first part of the evening, during which the officers and committee were elected en bloc. A trophy was awarded to Robin Crouchman for scoring the highest number of points in the two 2006 shows with Charlotte Staniforth receiving the junior trophy. Following this, Ken Akers gave a talk illustrated by slides entitled 'Plants for a Cool Greenhouse'. He then spoke about the practicalities of using a greenhouse and ensuring proper ventilation, shading, heating, staging and hygiene. John Bartram thanked Ken Akers and a raffle in aid of funds was run by Eric Hammond and Ken Peck.
