Residents urged to have their say in housing consultation

Uttlesford residents are urged to have their say on how new housing will be organised under the new Local Plan.
The six-month consultation ends on April 21, and local people can decide how development will be planned. As part of the process, the community stakeholder forum discussed themes such as transport, leisure and healthy lifestyles, homes and creating new places and communities.
The Local Plan consultation raises questions about how significant housing growth required by government can be properly planned, including deciding on where it should be located.
The feedback received throughout this consultation will inform the council's work, as it carries out further research and starts preparing a draft Local Plan, that will shape the district over the next 15 years and beyond.
