An inquest into the death of a man who died after a Thaxted crash has been opened.

Reis Farley-Hearn,28, of Black Notley died following a collision on the B184 Dunmow Road on December 19.

The inquest was opened in Chelmsford on December 31 and has been adjourned until May 17.

Paying tribute to Mr Farley-Hearn, his family said: “Reis was the most incredible partner, brother, son, uncle, godfather and friend. He was always the loudest and funniest character in the room.

“Reis is now back in the comfort of his mum, who sadly passed away eight years ago. We love and miss you, forever and always.”

More than £7,000 has been raised for the family after a colleague of Mr Farley-Hearn’s set up a fundraising page.

Colleague Micheal Thomas said: “Anyone who knew Reis couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by his smiling and incredibly generous nature.”
