AN ATTEMPT by two developers to invoke a judicial review of Uttlesford District Council's decision to adopt Option Four as its preferred option has failed.
Twiggden Homes Ltd and Bellwych Homes Ltd had hoped that their application for a judicial review over the council's decision to cite a new town at Elsenham would be accepted, but High Court judge Mr Justice Ouseley turned it down.
Mr Justice Ouseley said: "I see no reason at all why it is unlawful for the council to adopt as a preferred option for public participation a proposal which emerged as an option as a result of consultations.
