FILM lovers are being offered the opportunity to find out more about what makes a great movie.

The new Into Film 2 course, hosted by Saffron Screen, will enable participants to recognise different editing techniques used by filmmakers.

The tutor for the course is Trish Sheil, the film education officer for the Cambridgeshire Film Consortium, who has now led a number of successful courses for Saffron Screen.

The course will be held on one weekend - Friday June 19 from 6.30pm, and Saturday June 20, 10am-5pm - at County High School, Audley End Road, Saffron Walden.

The cost is 45 (concession 40), which includes the teaching material, one film screening and refreshments. There are only 18 places, and pre-booking is essential. Booking can be made at Saffron Screen's box office or the Tourist Information Centre.
