Little entrepreneurs at Linton Heights Juniors served up a treat as school drew to a close for the summer holidays.

More than 60 children in Year 3 raised £195 by selling ice cream to parents and friends at the end of class.

The youngsters have been working in groups as part of a business and enterprise project to raise money for their Wheatsheaf Way school.

They split into teams to focus on delivery, money, health and safety and to work as reporters.

Deputy headteacher Caroline Webb said: “It has been fabulous to see the children working in groups to bring this project together. They have worked so hard and made a lot of people happy with their ice cream sales.”

The cash will be used to support activities for when they are in Year 4.
