Former classmates of a 14-year-old girl who died from cancer helped raise awareness for her family’s charity by busking at Grafton Centre in Cambridge before Christmas.
My Blue Heart was started by the family of Jess Gower from Haverhill, who died of bone cancer in 2010.
The family came up with the idea of keeping her memory alive through the wearing of a blue badge, which they now sell along with other products, to others in bereavement.
Jess’ old friends from Linton Village College raised almost £300 playing music by artists such as Paolo Nutini and George Ezra, while late night shoppers learnt more about the charity.
