Linton students organise fun run in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust

STUDENTS at Linton Village College (LVC) are organising a fete and fun run on Saturday in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The event, which has been entirely planned by Year Nine students, was inspired by a member of their class who was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2009.
“We want to raise money for the TCT to help young people with cancer to be teenagers again,” said one of the organisers.
TCT helps to build specialist wards at NHS hospitals, which improves the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer.
The fete will take place at the college between 10am and 1pm. The fun run will begin at 10.30am and will take place over a one-mile course, with different categories for competitive running, walking and an assault course with a surprise at the end. There will also be prizes for the best competitors in fancy dress.
Entry to the race costs £5 and entry forms are available from LVC reception or email@example.com. All proceeds will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
