A NIGHT of turntablist talent and live hip-hop is set to shake the local scene when Cambridge's freshest music night kicks off next Thursday (June 25).

Stylus Science, running from 10pm to 2am at the Kambar, is a night showcasing Cambridge-based MCs, DJs and producers, bringing the talent that lurks beneath the city's streets to the fore.

MCs Dirty Dike and Ed Scissortongue of SMB, who have built up a major following on the scene, will be delivering their trademark flows with a team of up-and-coming DJs providing the cuts and scratches on the Technics.

Sammy B-Side, UK hip-hop specialist and regular DJ in clubs in London, Birmingham and Cambridge, will be leading the way, with dedicated turntablist DJ Daykin dropping some classic old-school records and demonstrating his crazy beat juggling skills as well.

DJ Sugai adds to the mix with his distinctive style and Andydextrus, producer supremo, rounds off the line-up with an underground selection guaranteed to get heads nodding.

Expect a night of sick beats and mad skills: nuttin' but live dopeness.
