A key member of staff at an Uttlesford school has been recognised for reaching 25 years’ service.
Pamela Booker has been working in the Reception class at Birchanger Primary School since joining a quarter of a century ago, and welcomes all the new children starting at the school.
Headteacher Geoff Slide presented Mrs Booker with a certificate from Essex County Council in recognition of her achievement. He described the milestone as “some achievement”, adding: “Pamela is a dedicated and committed member of staff. She is thought fondly of by the other members of staff, together with parents who speak highly of her.
“Some parents of children in the Reception class remember her from when they were at school here.”
Mrs Booker was also presented with flowers and a framed collection of photographs of when she first arrived at the school by staff and governors.
