THE RSPCA is appealing for information after a lurcher type dog was abandoned in the Saffron Walden area last week.
A householder in Quenden Park Hall, Quenden, noticed the small sandy coloured male dog tied up next to a fence near her house late on February 9.
She took the animal in and called the vet, who contacted the RSPCA, The dog, which is 18-24 months old, was very thin and had a cut on its paw.
“It is very irresponsible to abandon a dog like this, and we would like to find the owner,” said RSPCA inspector Steve Craddock.
“If anyone has any information, please could they call 0300 123 4999.”
