A LORRY fire closed a section of the M11 motorway for just under an hour in both directions.
Firefighters were called to tackle the blaze between Junctions 8 and 9, at around 7.30pm last night (October 4).
Crews from Saffron Walden, Newport and Stansted arrived at the scene, and reported that the rear wheels of the HGV was well alight.
The fire was out by about 8pm and the motorway reopened by 8.40pm.
