MAJOR tailbacks were reported on the M11 yesterday afternoon and evening following a serious “multi-car crash”.
Traffic between junctions 8 and 11 on the southbound carriageway was at a complete standstill following a series of collisions during wet weather.
The incident also caused traffic to back up along the A11 from Newmarket.
Nobody was seriously hurt, and traffic was moving freely again by about 8.30pm.
