Guitar aficionados have two exciting events to put in their diaries: Richard Durrant - The Guitar Whisperer (Saturday May 2) fuses classical, Spanish-influenced and modern compositions in a multimedia performance.

And Youtube Andy McKee joins forces with two other internationally-acclaimed guitarists Johnny Dickinson and Tony McManus in Acoustic Archery (Thursday May 21) with a repertoire drawn primarily from their own compositions.

A stalwart of Britain's sporting life is heading to the centre on Thursday May 7. Henry Blofeld, the Test Match Special commentator with a cult following, will be regaling the audience with stories of his extraordinary life including his encounters with Noel Coward and Ian Fleming.

Children's entertainment sees the return of Blunderbus Theatre, (Giraffes Can't Dance). This time they tell the funny fishy story of The Rainbow Fish, (Wednesday May 27), an underwater tale bursting with magic, fun and lots of glittery puppets.

On the drama-front Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal present Three Men in a Boat (Friday May 1), a fresh take on Jerome K Jerome's Victorian portrait of the English at play.

Haverhill's own Centre Stage Company take to the stage with murder mystery, Dead Man's Hand (Thursday to Saturday May 14-16) and a drama festival follows hot on their heels, The All England Theatre Festival Eastern Area Quarter Final (Sunday May 18).
