A 21-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving


A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of Class A drugs after a car ended up in a field in Newport on Saturday night. (January 7).

A white Citroen C1 was found in a field off London Road just before 6.45pm, and police and two fire crews, from Newport and Saffron Walden, attended the scene.

The man, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until March 8.
