An elderly man collapsed and died from a cardiac arrest in Saffron Walden on Saturday, January 2.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called at just after 10am following reports of a man who was unconscious and not breathing in Park Lane.
An ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended the incident along with an Essex and Herts air ambulance, which landed in the grounds of nearby Walden Place retirement complex.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “Despite the best efforts of paramedics, sadly the man died at the scene. All our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”
