FIREFIGHTERS helped free a man from his car after it collided with a garage in Newport.
Two crews from Saffron Walden and Newport had to remove rubble from the car after the man became trapped when part of the garage collapsed in Barnard Close at about 2.26pm yesterday (Tuesday).
He was released by 3.11pm and left in the care of the ambulance service.
