A man in his late 60s has been taken to hospital after a crash on the M11 this morning (Tuesday).

Emergency services arrived at the southbound carriageway near Newport to find a car on its side following the crash at 7.37am.

Firefighters attended but the driver did not have to be cut free from the car.

Paramedics took the man, who was unwell, to Princess Alexandra Hospital, in Harlow, for further treatment.

One lane is blocked and is causing delays on the M11 and A11.
