Man injures neck in Newport crash

A MAN sustained a neck injury after his car careered off the road and ended up on its roof.

The one-vehicle crash happened in Cambridge Road, Newport, at around 12.20pm on yesterday (Sunday).

The man, believed to be in his 40’s, was freed from the wreckage using specialised cutting equipment and taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by ambulance.
