Man taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crash near Saffron Walden

Walden Road in Sewards End was closed following a collision between a car and a cyclist today (Thursday).

The car was in collision with a cyclist on a pedal bike at around 11.20am.

The collision happened just after the junction of Walden Road with Radwinter Road, near to where the pedestrian area of Radwinter Road begins.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with injuries described by police as life threatening.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who passed the specific location of the collision, shortly before or after it happened.”
