Police are releasing an image of a man in connection with an ongoing hate crime investigation.

Police want to speak to this man, pictured, after a staff member at Ongar’s Four Wantz roundabout BP Garage was racially abused by a customer.

Officers became aware of an offensive video on Thursday, September 27. It had been uploaded on to a social networking site showing the cashier being abused by a man. The interaction had been filmed by the offender’s friend.

Investigations by officers have led them to believe the man in the video is known by the name “Goldie” but they have not yet been able to track him down.

Anyone who can offer any names to police or details of his whereabouts is asked to contact Pc Mark Sheridan-Brown on 101.
