A MAN had to be rescued from the depths of a skate bowl on Sunday afternoon after injuring his leg.
Firefighters were called to the Skate Park on Peaslands Road, Saffron Walden, at 12.30pm after a 20-year-old fell and sustained a series of leg injuries.
Using ladders and a winch they lifted the casualty to safety from the bottom of the bowl, which is 12 foot below ground level.
He was left in the care of an ambulance team.
