Max Stafford-Clark, the well-known London theatre director and Old Felstedian, has agreed to become the Patron of Drama at Felsted School.
Stafford-Clark, formerly artistic director of the Royal Court Theatre, has been a long term supporter of Felsted Drama, having held a number of workshops there over the years.
His ‘Out of Joint’ theatre company will run a workshop at Felsted in May on Our Country’s Good, Timberlake Wertenbaker’s popular and award-winning play. Out of Joint is touring its acclaimed production in the UK and internationally, following last year’s run in the West End.
Alongside the tour, it is offering a special day-long experience giving A Level students the opportunity to work on the play, an A-Level piece, in depth with Stafford-Clark.
