Skunks and snakes were the unlikely playfellows of a special needs group this Wednesday.
Children at Saffron Walden Opportunity Playgroup (SWOP) enjoyed a visit from Animal Workshops mobile zoo at their weekly session at the United Reformed Church, where a number of animals joined them, including some friendly meerkats, tree frogs and tortoises.
SWOP is a small charity which aims to support young children with special needs and disabilities and provides as many sensory experiences as possible for the children to learn about the world around them.
