Saffron Walden Veterans played Ridgeons Veterans in the Denis Savill memorial match on August 21

The second Dennis Savill memorial football match took place on Sunday, August 21, in a tribute to the founder of Saffron Walden Girls youth team.

Dennis’ wife Helen was presented with an oak bench and a commemorative plaque on behalf of Walden Ladies FC before the match, and the bench will be situated at Crabtrees, the home ground for the ladies team.

Saffron Walden Town Veterans took on Ridgeons Veterans before the original Walden Town Girls played Walden Ladies later in the afternoon.

Walden Ladies FC thanked Ridgeons for their donation.
