A 40-YEAR-OLD Saffron Walden man has been rearrested and charged with causing GBH with intent following a stabbing.

Carpenter Leslie Barker, of The Green, Saffron Walden appeared before magistrates in Harlow last Thursday and was remanded in custody.

The court case followed a stabbing incident in Saffron Walden on February 10.

During the fracas two men suffered cuts to their heads and hands outside a block of flats at about 10.30pm.

Both men were taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and treated for their injuries and were later discharged.

Barker is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on April 30.

A 30-year-old man who was also arrested after the incident on suspicion of causing ABH has had his bail cancelled.

- A PRANKSTER who was arrested for wasting police time in the early hours of February 11 has had his case adjourned until March 20.

Sebastian Vince, of Park Lane, was traced via his telephone to his home following the hoax call in which he claimed his friend had been stabbed near the Swan Meadow Car Park.

An ambulance and three police officers from Saffron Walden attended the scene.

Mr Vince appeared at Harlow Magistrates' Court on February 15 and the matter has been adjourned for pre-sentence reports.
