A MILK thief struck twice in Saffron Walden in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.

One pint was stolen from the doorstep of a house in Saffron Court and two pints were taken from the front garden of a property in Summerhill Road.

Both incidents occurred between midnight and 9am.

Although no money was taken, Acting Sgt Lisa Cox is warning people not to leave money out on their doorstep.

"I would remind people not to put money out for the milkman as this may lead to it being stolen," she said.
