FORECASTERS are predicting two inches of snow for the region tomorrow evening.
And with temperatures rising on Saturday and heavy rainfall predicted, there are fears the snow will quickly thaw leading to flooding in area.
The snow is likely to fall at around 9pm on Friday following a day of freezing temperatures.
Around 6-8mm of rain is predicted for Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
Forecaster Chris Bell from Norwich based Weatherquest said: “Flooding could be an issue because of snow already on the ground and rain forecast on Saturday night and Sunday morning. We’re definitely going into a much more unsettled speall of weather.
“Even though we will get snow in some places, if it turns over to sleet and rain it would melt before people can see it.
“Saturday is likely to be quite slushy during the day. By Sunday the snow will be mostly gone.
“But with around 6cm of snow still on the ground, combine that with more snow on Friday and rain fall on Saturday night through to Sunday, that is enough to give localised flooding.”
