A regional estate agent has launched a foodbank campaign to help people in need this Christmas.
Mullucks Wells, who have offices in Saffron Walden and Great Dunmow, have teamed up with councils, churches and the UK Foodbank network to collect tinned and packaged food items.
The company is requesting items such as Christmas puddings, crisps, boxes of chocolates, nuts, tinned corned beef, ham salmon, and Christmas cake, as well as tinned hot meat meals, cartons of fruit juice, packets of custard, packets of instant potatoes, coffee, tea, and jelly.
Saffron Walden branch manager Nick Bush said: “At Christmas, it seems only appropriate that we think about those who are experiencing hardship, so we’re appealing to the public to bring us packaged and tinned food which we can distribute to those in the greatest need.”
Items can be left at Saffron Walden and Dunmow branches of Mullucks Wells during ordinary office hours – which are Monday to Friday 9am-6pm, Saturdays 9am-4pm and Sundays 10am-1pm or at the company’s Epping or Bishop’s Stortford offices.
