Multiple vehicle collision causes long delays

A MULTIPLE-vehicle collision on the M11 led to delays for motorists on Monday afternoon.

The four-vehicle crash, involving three cars and a van, happened on the northbound carriageway between junctions eight and nine at about 4.10pm.

Fire crews from Stansted, Newport, Saffron Walden and Bishop's Stortford rushed to the scene after initial reports suggested as many as 12 vehicles may have been involved.

However, nobody was trapped in their vehicle or significantly injured in the crash and Essex Fire and Rescue Service reported the incident dealt with by 4.35pm.
