Pull on your favourite Christmas jumper this weekend to enjoy a re-enactment of the nativity performed by local school children.
St Mary’s Church in Great Dunmow has organised a ‘live nativity’, taking place this Sunday.
The show will kick off at 3pm at the Great Dunmow town square and opposite the library.
Join Mary, Jospeh and their put-upon donkey as they begin their journey to Bethlehem, ending at St Mary’s Church car park.
Once at the car park, local school children will be involved in re-enacting the famous story of Christmas and singing carols.
If the weather is poor, the performance will take place inside.
Afterwards, partake in some festive joy with a mug of mulled wine or cup of hot chocolate in the church, whilst the Dunmow Wind Band perform Christmas music.
In 2016, more than 300 people joined the procession to the church.
