A NEW charity shop is to open in Saffron Walden town centre.

St Elizabeth’s has taken a lease on the prime space on King Street for a term of 10 years. The shop was formerly let to Millets.

St Elizabeth’s specialises in the fields of of epilepsy and other complex conditions including multiple learning disabilities, impaired mobility, behavioural and emotional problems, speech and language difficulties, autism and life threatening seizures.

Located near the village of Much Hadham and established in 1901 as a school for children with epilepsy, St Elizabeth’s is recognised as the only national centre offering services to all age groups with learning disabilities through its School, College, residential home and day services.
