Hyperfusion, which runs a wide range of classes including acting, dancing and singing from The Baptist Church in Saffron Walden, is now running a GCSE Masterclass and a Performance Dance class.

The GCSE Masterclass is designed to add another dimension to the students’ drama curriculum and comes on the back of the experience of principal Sarah Ellis, who was formerly a head of drama at a mainstream school.

She explains: “Drama is a fantastic GCSE and the new class relates directly to the curriculum.

“But what we offer is an opportunity for students to look at it again, stimulating that creativity still further, in a fun setting.

“It is predominantly for the year nine, 10 and 11 students, but also to prospective GCSE drama pupils as well.”

The Performance Dance class is for all students of all ages and will be run by Hyperfusion’s new choreographer, Lauren Sloan.

“Lauren is brilliant. Her biggest strength is street dance and we set the class up specifically to produce choreography and dance for performance,” added Ms Ellis.

“Instead of looking at all the genres, this class is more intense in looking at creating dance specially for performance. It is also an opportunity for students to come along for an hour, instead of our three-hour musical theatre sessions, which is great for people with time commitments.”

The new classes start on January 22. For more information on all Hyperfusion’s classes call 07939 645359 or e-mail sarah@hyperfusion.co.uk
