New debt counselling centre’s official launch
SUPPORTERS, friends and church members joined together at New Life Church on Sunday to celebrate the official launch of a new debt counselling centre in Saffron Walden.
Debt counselling charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) has partnered with New Life Church, in Shire Hill, to bring its in-depth service to the area, offering free debt help to local people struggling with overwhelming debt.
Saffron Walden centre manager Sarah Blackaby said: “We have just had a really busy month visiting clients who need help. The launch day was a great opportunity to inform people about CAP and how we can provide a hope and a solution to their debt.”
Saffron Walden is one of 16 places which began taking bookings in April – rare good news for people who are seeing a squeeze to their income.
CAP offers an in-depth, caring service to people with spiralling personal debt. Every client is visited in their own home and supported face-to-face until the day they are debt free.
