A new headteacher will take over at Friends’ Junior School, Saffron Walden in September.
Sally Meyrick, (pictured left) the current deputy head, will replace the current head, Ruth Darvill who is becoming head of the pre-prep of a large school in Surrey.
Mrs Meyrick said: “I am delighted to be taking on the headship at Friends Junior School. I believe in what this school does for children and the marvellous all-round education it provides. I am really looking forward to September and the opportunity to continue the wonderful achievements of the school”
Mrs Darvill said: “I have really enjoyed my time here at Friends’ and am proud of the progress we have made but I know that the school will continue to flourish and achieve great things under Sally Meyrick.”
