People in Great Britain woke up to the glorious – but slightly wet – sights of Saffron Walden this morning (Tuesday) as a new breakfast TV show hit our screens.
Camera crews descended on the town to film ITV’s Good Morning Britain – co-hosted by Strictly Come Dancing’s Susanna Reid – and Lorraine.
Each day this week the crew will be travelling to market towns across the country to offer locals a chance of winning a cash prize – live on air!
Presenter Andi Peters made three residents in Saffron Walden very happy, when they got to spin a wheel of fortune for the chance to win up to £1,000.
No-one won the impressive sum but Jo Crocker, who lives off Thaxted Road, the last resident to take part, did manage to scoop the mystery prize ... a goody bag containing an umbrella, mug and £25 cash. The 38-year-old said she was delighted with her win, adding: “It is fabulous and being on TV is very exciting.”
