A “well established, successful and happy pack of Brownies” is waiting for two new leaders – and full training is on offer.

1st Wimbish Brownies was started in 2009 by Helen Sears and Sally-Ann Rust, along with their daughters, Claudia and Fiona, respectively.

Over the past five years, a succession of brownies (aged seven to 10) have attended the pack and been involved in a huge range of activities including working towards badges plus craft, sports and pamper evenings, trips to the zoo, Audley End, the panto and walks.

Yet the time has come for the two leaders to step down due to family and work commitments.

Two new leaders are now needed to join in the fun – and there are 17 brownies waiting to meet them.

Brown Owl, Mrs Sears, said: “We will be staying with the brownies until we break up for the Easter holidays at the beginning of April, and we would love to hear from anyone who is interested in taking over from us.

“We would be very happy to show new potential leaders the ropes, by inviting them to join us for as many meetings as they like before then. There are also new girls waiting to join the unit, and we would love to be able to keep Wimbish Brownies open and thriving into the future.”
