The agriculural science unit at Saffron Walden County High School has benefited from a donation from the town’s round table group for the purchase of a muck trailer.

The science unit was in need of a trailer to allow the safe disposal of animal waste which is created on the farm, and the Saffron Walden Round Table stepped in to help.

The agricultural unit is home to a wide variety of animals and hold regular open days.

Esther Blakey, teacher at science unit, said: “Having a muck trailer will make the unit a less hazardous place for the students that access animal based education course and extra curricular activities.

“It will allow staff to spend more time working with student in therapeutic role for both behavioural and educational needs.”

Saffron Walden Round Table are inviting local causes in need of extra help to fill in the donation request form on their website, to visit click here.
