A MILLINER from Thaxted raised her hat and a glass when Sir Alan Haselhurst opened her new showroom on Monday.

Sharon Caton, 40, has expanded her Get Ahead Hats business, which forms the national Farmers' Wives Cooperative, thanks to funding from the Government to redevelop an old farm building.

"I've been doing this for five years now and I was running out of room in the house," she said. "Having the chance to expand the showroom and my workroom to three times its original size is fantastic.
