Newport fire crews assist man stuck in a hole
FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue a man who was stuck 10ft down a hole at Audley End railway station today (Tuesday October 20). Crews from Newport were called to the Station Road facility at 12.44pm. They helped ambulance paramedics to free the 30-year-old man,
FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue a man who was stuck 10ft down a hole at Audley End railway station today (Tuesday October 20).
Crews from Newport were called to the Station Road facility at 12.44pm.
They helped ambulance paramedics to free the 30-year-old man, who was trapped with an ankle injury.
Shortly before 1pm crews reported that the man was being stabilised and they were positioning ladders to winch him to safety.

The incident was dealt with by 1.17pm and the man was left in the care of the ambulance service.
