THEY must be having a laugh! Cheeky children have been raising money for their school with an amusing idea.
Oliver Morris, Josh Martin and Alex Newitt from Newport Primary School do not mind if they get laughed at by their fellow pupils because they know it is all for a good cause.
To raise money for the school's garden project, the three youngsters will spend a portion of their lunch break over the next two weeks telling jokes outside the year-five classroom to anyone who will pay to listen.
The idea is called Laughs for Lolly and the budding stand-up comedians are charging 20p joke. And it seems they will be laughing all the way to the bank because many punters are giving more than the going rate for the top-notch gags.
