WHO the Normans were, and the Doomesday Book, were just two the topics for discussion at a children’s educational event held at Saffron Walden Library on Saturday.
Around 30 children participated in the special event. Among the activities that they took part in were: creating a library tapestry, a treasure hunt around the library and choosing their own Norman names.
Staff also talked with the children about the historic Walden Castle.
