SOME V Festival fans have been left disappointed after Sunday's headliners Oasis had to pull out of the Essex music event.
The band pulled out of the second leg of the festival, held in Chelmsford's Hylands Park, after Liam Gallagher was diagnosed with laryngitis. It is the first time the band has ever had to pull out of a gig due to illness.
Brit band Snow Patrol, stepped up to fill their slot and play an extended set. However, fans booed as they paid tribute to Oasis but duly joined in as the band performed some of their greatest hits, including Wonderwall.
Other highlights from the festival included performances from Saturday's headliners The Killers, Lady Gaga and a surprise appearance from Amy Winehouse, alongside the Specials.
