PAKISTAN International Airlines has announced its flight operation from Stansted Airport will begin on April 1, 2009.
PIA will operate two weekly flights from the Essex airport to Pakistan via Dubai with convenient timings every Wednesday and Friday to Lahore City in Punjab Province and Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
PIA's operation on the said sector meets a long standing demand of the Pakistani community based in United Kingdom. It also caters to the demand of tourists as well as the Pakistani Community settled in London.
PIA managing director Captain Mohammad Aijaz Haroon said that PIA is presently operating 24 flights per week to and from the United Kingdom, these include flights from London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bradford and Manchester.

The airline's Stansted flight operations have now been introduced to increase frequency of the airlines operations in order to facilitate and provide convenience to the airlines customers. Passengers can now benefit from this flight with connectivity to Dubai, UAE, he added.
