CHILDREN’S friendships is the theme behind a best selling author’s talk at a Saffron Walden school.
Parenting expert Elizabeth Hartley-Brewer sheds light on the potential minefield of primary school children’s friendships in ‘Making Sense of your Child’s Friendships’ on Tuesday October 12 at 8pm at Dame Bradbury’s School.
The talk is jointly hosted by the school and Harts Events as part of the Saffron Walden Literary Festival, Classic Words. The evening will also include a chance for the audience to ask questions and discuss some of the topics raised.
Mrs Hartley-Brewer is the author of a number of best-selling practical books on parenting, including Raising and Praising Girls, Talking to Tweenies and Self-Esteem for Boys.
She also writes articles on topical parenting issues for leading national and international newspapers including The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The New York Times and The Observer.
She is the author of two parenting skills programmes and has contributed seminar papers on aspects of children’s mental health and learning to the UK ‘think tank’, the Institute for Public Policy Research, and to London University’s Institute of Education.
