A PHOTOGRAPHY competition has been launched to help raise funds towards the restoration of a Grade I listed medieval building.

Organisers are after 12 images that define the village of Finchingfield. The winning snaps will then be put into a 2011 calendar to raise cash for the village guildhall restoration project.

At the launch Jeremy Toynbee said: “All entries will be displayed at an exhibition to be held Saturday July 31 and Sunday August 1 in the village hall. Everyone will be able come along and vote for their favourites.”

The competition is free and open to all, but there is a limit of three images per entrant. The closing date is July 19. For more information call 07791 653 484.
