A BUMPER birthday line-up has been announced by community cinema, Saffron Screen.

The picture house will be celebrating its first anniversary over the weekend of May 11-14.

And the seven movies to be screened have been chosen by film-goers themselves.

Saffron Screen's chair Rebecca del Tufo said: "We've set ourselves an ambitious programme with eight screenings, including the epic Lawrence of Arabia.

"It is a great selection of films, and we hope customers will enjoy celebrating our first remarkably successful year at Saffron Screen."

More than 300 people voted for their favourite three films, with 265 different movies being nominated.

The latest James Bond film, Casino Royale, will be shown twice over the weekend.

Death in Venice, Nanny McPhee, Happy Feet and Grease will also be screened.
